This has been the most interesting, productive & stressful 3 months I have been through in a very long time but setting up this silent art auction definitely takes the cake! After a few venue changes, about 150 Emails sent and a ton of phone calls I was finally able to get this together.
I'm holding a Silent auction and Raffle for my final fundraiser for the AIDS/LifeCycle 9. I wanted to put something together that would reach out to all Coachella Valley residents, not just those who are affected by HIV & AIDS. What better way that art ?
I have collected artworks from some of the best up and coming artist from all over the Coachella Valley and a few from the bay area to help me reach my fund raising goal. I have also collected various gift cards and services from local businesses and restaurants for a $10 raffle.
There is a bit more info that I can't post just yet, so you'll just have to wait and see !
I find myself browsing Sarahs' Blog daily to find out whats going on in the valley. Its such a great resource for art, music and everything a 25 year old Coachella Valley resident is interested in. I was recently the subject of her 'Movers & Shakers' section. Take a look !
(I'm still getting used to see my face everywhere)
I was finally able to join the other ALC riders from Palm Springs. It was a great introduction to their training regiment and to see how I'm coming along. We ended up leaving Palm Springs to ride in Yucaipa. We climbed about 3,000 ft, and I met 2 horses along the way.
It was great meeting new people and getting out of town, the same routine can get a little monotonous. It was a great route, can't wait to go back.
